Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Inter-ethnic dialogue is essential for fostering peace, understanding, and social cohesion in multicultural societies. In Obi Local Government Area, where diverse ethnic groups coexist, communication barriers and cultural misunderstandings often lead to tension and conflict. Indigenous language broadcasting has emerged as a vital tool for promoting inter-ethnic dialogue by providing inclusive platforms for discussion and mutual understanding.
